Rey Astronomy Today

  • Dark Sky Stargazing
  • Family Friendly Special Astronomy Programs
  • Space and Star Fun throughout the Year
  • "Observe the Moon" Programs

The Rey Center’s Astronomy programs stem from Hans Rey’s study of astronomy during WWI, when he began to redraw constellations to make them more intuitive and less difficult to remember!
Our monthly Stargazing is beginner friendly. After dark, once a month we meet to explore a variety of astronomical topics and have a look at what’s viewable from Waterville Valley.
Topics depend on the visiting NH Astronomical volunteer and current sky events and range from celestial targets, carbon stars, current NASA missions, Deep Sky Objects, observing techniques, observatory construction and use, Dark Matter, Historical Astronomy and much more!
In addition to our Monthly Dark Sky Stargazing, watch for our special programs on current astronomical events.
