About Curious Cottage Preschool
Curious Cottage Preschool at Waterville ValleyWhere Learning Begins with Curiosity & Discovery
At Curious Cottage Preschool, we believe that early education should ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build a foundation for lifelong learning. Our program is designed to help young learners develop the skills, confidence, and imagination they need to thrive today and in the future.
A Message from Our Lead Teacher "Every child is filled with curiosity and potential. My goal is to create an environment where they feel safe, inspired, and excited to learn. Through exploration, play, and creativity, I strive to nurture their love for learning and help them build a strong foundation for the future."
— Allison Savage, Lead Teacher
A Learning Experience Rooted in Art, Nature & Movement
We are committed to hands-on, experience-based learning, with a curriculum built around three essential pillars:
Art – A powerful tool for self-expression and creative exploration, art helps children experiment with different mediums while developing problem-solving and fine motor skills.
Nature – The natural world provides endless opportunities for observation, discovery, and scientific thinking. Through outdoor exploration, children build an appreciation for the environment and develop critical thinking skills.
Movement – Physical activity is essential for health, coordination, and overall well-being. Our program integrates movement through play, helping children build strong bodies, develop motor skills, and establish lifelong healthy habits.
By combining playful learning with a nurturing environment, we help children grow into confident, engaged, and socially aware individuals.
Parent & Community Testimonials
"Our family is incredibly grateful for Curious Cottage Preschool. After our son's premature birth, we sought a safe and nurturing environment to promote his health and wellness. Since starting, he has thrived both physically and mentally. The nature-based approach with plenty of outdoor time has boosted his physical endurance, and he's made wonderful friends, always eager to learn and see them each day. We could not be more happy with our experience!" – Lisa R, Parent
