Picture
The mission of our outreach and mobile learning center to meet the needs of underserved children in central and northern New Hampshire. From story times to science and art classes and beyond, the Margret & H.A. Rey Center will be on the roads and at the schools!

The Rey Center Mobile Learning Center will serve youth aged 3-14 by coming to their communities both during school hours and after school. With the community’s participation, the most effective locations will be identified and may include: school, green spaces and town/public spaces.

In honor of the Rey’s the mission of curiosity, environmentalism, and social justice will always be central in our presentation.

The Rey Center Mobile Learning Center will offer story time and serve as a resource to provide art, nature and science programs to the identified communities. For example, a day in the life of the mobile unit would be a visit to an elementary school and for an hour and a half of Pre-K story time. It could then travel to the neighboring town  to  spend the remainder of the day at an Elementary School supporting a classroom unit and then providing a one to two-hour activity for the after-school program. In class programming would work with the school districts to augment and enhance curriculum with the goal of enriching students’ knowledge and experience.
