Art from the heart

Throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring, come by the Cottage for ongoing interactive and explorative art sessions.
Activities will vary; expect to be working with natural elements and and prepared to go out in them too!
Andy Goldsworthy Cairn Sculpture Build
After a brief outdoor walk, participants will build their own Andy Goldsworthy inspired cairn with glue and found rock. There will be a light overview of the history of Andy Goldsworthy's work and how it has impacted awareness of natural issues.
Anna Mendieta Silhouette Construction
Participants will create their own nature inspired silhouette, weather permitting, outdoors or on craft roll with found natural objects. Anna Mendieta's work will be reviewed along with how it relates to our interactions with the natural work today.
Natural Fairy & Toad House Building
Perfect for your resident garden gnome or neighborhood fairy; we will be constructing natural, miniature homes out of found natural objects and glue. There will be some information as well on natural dwellings and construction techniques.
